Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct and Behavior is created for the health and safety of RK POD, its members and guests.  The purpose of this policy is to set forth the basic principles we expect members to follow so that members can achieve their running goals in a safe and fun environment.

  1. Always be courteous and show respect to RK POD Coaches and Run Leaders.
  2. You are welcome to run whichever training session/s you choose.  There are three main sessions in the week, being Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.  For your improvement as a runner, we recommend the three main sessions in the week, plus one recovery run.  There are six or seven runs organised per week for your convenience.
  3. We appreciate you wearing your RK POD shirt as it represents our brand.
  4. You are under no pressure to attend every session and you’re free to make your own choices.
  5. We understand that people like to occasionally run with other groups other than RK POD, this is also your choice.

Common Courtesy while out running

  1. Please follow road rules at all times.  Please abide by all road signage and use footpaths when available.
  2. Respect all pedestrians, cyclists and other pathway users.  Give way to others and always be courteous.
  3. Look after others within your training group.  Please ensure that no one is left on their own.
  4. Use “shout outs” and “call signs” to alert runners of other people approaching either from behind or ahead in order to alert Members so they can move to the left and proceed in single file to make room.
  5. Each and every member is a representative of RK POD.  Please be mindful of your actions at all times including in public places, at events and during training runs as they may reflect on, and have negative consequences for yourself and/or RK POD as an organisation.
  6. Never use abusive or vulgar language, or make racial, ethnic, religious and/or gender related slurs or derogatory comments at any time.
